The Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing

Activity

The Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing has launched a social meeting for students enrolled in the program, aiming to provide the opportunity for students, teaching staff, individuals from participating businesses, and the like to meet and mingle with each other, help them share information related to the program and widen their knowledge and horizons, increase students' motivation, and help the participants build their network.

On December 23, 2020, we held the second social meeting in the form of a special seminar featuring Mr. Yoshimasa Tanaka of Nagasaki University's Center for Medical Innovation and Mr. Masato Kinoshita of Kyoto University's Graduate School of Agriculture, who are role models for our program, as lecturers. The meeting, which was attended by 22 students and 27 teaching staff members, helped students of the program develop a realistic image of themselves working in their fields in the future, by learning about the type of talent in demand in society, and deepen their understanding of the required skills and qualifications.
