The Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing

Admission

Hiroshima University seeks students who wish to enroll in Life Science Course or Medical Course of the Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing in April 2023. We will carry out a special selection for prospective students of either the Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Life or the Graduate School of Biomedical and Health Sciences.

HOW TO APPLY

STEP1. Find and contact a prospective advisor from faculty members

Find a prospective academic advisor whose research focus aligns closely with your area of interest, and obtain his/her agreement on reviewing an application as a potential advisor.

STEP2. Apply for graduate school admission

Complete the admission procedure of the graduate school while referring to the links.

To be considered for admission to the Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing, applicants must meet one of the following conditions:
- Applicants who have been admitted to either of the above graduate schools for April 2023 enrollment.
- Applicants who have applied to either of the above graduate schools for April 2023 enrollment.


STEP3. Apply for the Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing

Read the “Application Guidelines” and submit the documents: (a) Application Form, (b)Personal History, (c) Research Plan, and (d)Photocopy of Examination Card or Acceptance Letter from the graduate school of HU to the Collaboration Office by the application deadline.


SCHEDULE

  • Application period:
    from September 2 to September 8, 2022
  • Oral examination:
    September 27, 2022 for Life Science Course
    Octorber 3, 2022 for Medical Course
  • Announcement of successful applicants:
    Octorber 20, 2022
