The Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing

Activity

The Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing has launched a social meeting for students enrolled in the program, aiming to provide the opportunity for students, teaching staff, individuals from participating businesses, and the like to meet and mingle with each other, help them share information related to the program and widen their knowledge and horizons, increase students' motivation, and help the participants build their network.

On July 26, 2021, we held the third social meeting in the form of a special seminar featuring Mr. Hodaka Fujii of Hirosaki University's Graduate School of Medicine, who was a role model for our program, as a lecturer. The meeting, which was attended by 24 students and 15 faculty members, helped students of the program develop a realistic image of themselves working in their fields in the future, master genome editing technology and connect it directly to industry, and deepen their understanding of the required skills and qualifications.
