On Saturday, November 12, 2022, the International Seminar 2022 was held online by the Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing, Hiroshima University, on the theme of "The Front-line of Genome Editing Technology."
The seminar, which was aimed to accelerate the research activities in our program and related research projects in Japan, invited an outstanding researcher working at the frontline of the field of genome editing, Professor Caixia Gao, Ph.D., from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She offered a lecture on the latest research and development trends and the current situation and challenges relating to practical application entitled "Next Generation CRISPR Technologies and Their Applications in Crop Improvement." Following her lecture, the students enrolled in this program gave research presentations. The event was also a wonderful opportunity for the students to give a research talk in English.
