The Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing

Activity

On December 7, 2022, we organized the fourth social meeting in the form of a special seminar featuring Dr. SAITO Makoto of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, who is a role model for our program. He discussed the progression of his career in the field of basic genome editing, the research environment in foreign countries, tips for a successful postdoc application, and findings from his research. The meeting was attended by 17 students and 17 faculty members. It informed students about international career development and the language skills required and provided all the participants a valuable opportunity to receive direct advice from a successful researcher working abroad.
