The Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing

Activity

On July 6, 2023, the Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing held the Advanced Science Seminar on "Developing a Future Society with Genome Editing".

EZAKI Ryo, Specially Appointed Assistant Professor of the Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Life, gave a lecture titled "Genome Editing in Chickens and the Development of Allergy-Reducing Eggs".
Over 150 people attended the seminar, and the event was hugely successful. Some of the positive feedback we received included:
"I was only vaguely aware of genome editing, but I thought it offered hope that it could solve various problems depending on how it is used."
"It was interesting. I am looking forward to the distribution of allergen-free eggs in the market."
