The Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing

Activity

The third social meeting was held on August 30, 2024, with the theme of "Cross-discipline and cross-university exchanges among the Doctoral Programs for World-leading Innovative & Smart Education (WISE Programs)." Initiating in 2021, the meeting included students of the Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing of Hiroshima University and the WISE Program for Nano-Precision Medicine, Science, and Technology of Kanazawa University. Additionally, in 2023, students from the Ph. D. Program in Humanics of the University of Tsukuba participated in the meeting.

Approximately 70 students from the three universities attended the meeting. In small groups, the students participated in discussions based on specific topics of interest, and at the end of the session, the facilitator of each group presented a summary of the discussion.
The students had a meaningful time sharing their views with students from the other universities.

*The Frontier Development Program for Genome Editing has been organizing social meetings for students enrolled in the program to provide the students, faculty, individuals from participating companies, and the like with opportunities to meet and mingle, share information related to the program, broaden participants' knowledge and horizons, motivate students, and help participants build their network.
